Job Title: Metal Fabrication Operator

Pay: 23-35/hr+ DOE

Hours: M-F 7AM-4PM

Job Overview:

The Metal Fabrication Operator is responsible for operating metalworking machines such as the Cidan Double Bender, Slitter, Coil Handler, and Roper Whitney machines to fabricate custom metal parts like end caps, door pans, window pans, louvers, and arches. This role also involves using hand tools, spot welding, and operating a forklift to handle metal coils and products safely. The operator will follow technical drawings to ensure precision in all products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Operate metal fabrication machines to cut, bend, and form metal as per job specifications.
• Custom Metalwork: Use hand tools and spot weld to assemble metal parts.
• Forklift Operation: Safely transport materials and products using a forklift.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy in measurements and quality of finished products.
• Maintenance: Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Material Handling: Manage inventory and report material shortages.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience operating metal fabrication machines (Cidan, Roper Whitney, etc.).
• Forklift certification or experience.
• Knowledge of metalworking techniques.
• Strong attention to detail with technical drawings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of metal fabrication experience.
• Certifications in metalworking, machine operation, or welding.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time role in a non-climate-controlled workshop with exposure to loud machinery and fluctuating temperatures. PPE is required.
