A local university is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator. The Human Resources Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting departments in all aspects of human resources management, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. This Human Resources Coordinator role is a short-term contract position with mostly remote hours of 2pm-9pm. Must be commutable to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for on-site days.


Key responsibilities:

  • Support recruitment efforts by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including preparing offer letters, conducting orientations, and ensuring completion of all required paperwork.
  • Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Support benefits administration tasks, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide assistance on Human Resources related matters.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in human resources or related administrative role.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
