Are you passionate about Women's Health? Dubuque Obstetrics and Gynecology, P.C. is looking for a registered nurse to join our nurse triage team. Primary role is triaging patient phone calls, NSTs, injections, obstetric interviews, medication prior authorizations, and other duties as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide general medical care and select patient care tasks; working collaboratively with physicians, medical assistants, and other multidisciplinary team members.
  • Provides individualized education to patients and families appropriate for age, diagnosis, and level of understanding. Provide telephonic support to patients.
  • Observes, records, and reports changes in patients' conditions.
  • Complete new obstetrical interviews, assist with staple removal, NSTs, and in office injections.
  • Follows standard precautions with all patients for proper infection control; correctly follows medical and surgical aseptic technique when indicated.
  • Make follow up calls as requested by the provider.
  • Assist with prior authorizations for medications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Iowa RN license.
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Certification (BLS).
  • Computer literacy: able to perform basic functions on a computer, including Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft Office applications.
  • English language literacy: able to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
