Bloom Partners has been hired by a highly regarded landscape service provider based in Morgan Hill, California to seek a results-driven and strategically minded Vice President of Finance (VP) or Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead their financial operations. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping their financial strategy, driving operational efficiency, and supporting their rapid growth initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess a robust financial background with experience in mergers and acquisitions, operational leadership, and the ability to work closely with their management staff. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization and make a significant impact in the landscape industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial leadership to guide their financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes.
  • Operations Integration: Collaborate with Branch Administrators to streamline operations, identify opportunities for efficiency, and implement best practices.
  • Systemization: Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to systemize operations and integrate financial processes across different companies and new acquisitions.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Play a critical role in future mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition financial strategy.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish, manage, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive efficiency, cost improvements, and operational excellence.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, identify gaps, and implement improvements to boost profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory financial compliance requirements.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Growth: Work closely with the CEO to strategize and drive growth initiatives, providing financial expertise and insights.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CFO or VP of Finance in a leadership role within a service-based industry.
  • Strong financial background and expertise, preferably with a CPA certification.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration.
  • Operational leadership experience, with the ability to identify gaps, drive improvements, and maximize efficiency.
  • Track record of successful KPI management, financial systemization, and cost improvement.
  • Strategic thinker with the capacity to support future exit event goals.
  • Ability to collaborate with management staff and act as a strategic financial partner to the CEO.


Compensation:

  • $200k - $260k+
  • Performance-based bonus
  • Equity options, aligning with exit event goals.
  • Location: In-office - South San Jose, California
