Our client, a globally-known sports and entertainment brand, is looking to add a Network Engineer to their team. The work will be primarily done at the stadium in Arlington, with the flexibility to work at other sites regularly as needed (Frisco) and support events that are held nights and weekends.


This role is fully onsite, not remote or hybrid in nature. It is a full-time, long-term hourly contract position where you can be W2 (with medical benefits) or as an independent consultant. To be considered, you must be a US citizen or Green Card holder with native English-speaking proficiency and communication skills. No 3rd party candidates will be considered.


The Network Engineer will be part of a dynamic technical team that supports, secures, and maintains the organization’s multi-site network. This individual should have experience with design, implementation, support, and maintenance of complex network systems.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide support for network issues, which may include cable troubleshooting, network connectivity testing, etc as needed prior to escalating to senior level engineers

· Perform Cisco route/switch configuration and troubleshooting

· Create and update documentation, which may include network diagrams and data flows

· Perform network maintenance tasks, including software upgrades

· Assist with rack, stack, and cabling of new equipment

· Assist with event support as needed (Weekends, Nights)

· Monitor various platforms for any incidents/alerts that may be assigned


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· 5-6 years Cisco Network Experience

· CCNP Required

· Ability to troubleshoot IP and cabling/Layer 1 issues

· Experience with Routing Protocols: BGP, EIGR

· Design, deployment, and operation of complex enterprise networks

· Switching and configuration options (VLANS, HSRP, DHCP, NAT, etc.)

· NX-OS, IOS-XE, IOS experience

· Meraki experience

· Cisco Stealthwatch experience is a plus

· SolarWinds experience is a plus

· Cisco DNA Center/SDA experience is a plus

· Cisco ASA/Firepower/FTD experience is a plus

· Cisco Wireless experience is a plus

· Cisco Collaboration (UC) experience is a plus

· Physical plant and cabling experience; Fiber plant experience

· Provide event-related support to supplement the current team

· Good team attitude; Ability to respond quickly and be dynamic

· Ability and willingness to learn new technologies/skills

· Detail-oriented and organized; analytical, structured approach to problem solving

· Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills; a desire to work with people and end customers

· Strong writing skills and a desire to diligently document common processes and procedures

· Available to work standard office hours onsite and travel between enterprise facilities as needed

· Available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed

· Ability to lift 50 pounds and handle physically challenging tasks
