Job Summary

Vaco Technology is seeking a skilled Network Engineer (Meraki / Azure) for a 6M C2H opportunity in Dallas, TX. The successful candidate will install, configure, and manage network-related hardware and software, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot network issues, including service provider, routing, switching, and data center performance problems.
  • Develop and implement network security best practices, ensuring the integrity of the network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the Cybersecurity / Governance Director to implement security hardware and software configurations.
  • Evaluate and design new networking configurations to improve network stability and performance.
  • Maintain relationships with critical IT service providers and evaluate break/fix solutions to resolve technical risks.
  • Lead network disaster recovery initiatives and upgrade/patch network device software and hardware.
Requirements
  • Network Engineer experience with Cisco, Meraki, Azure, and cloud tenant connectivity.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, including PowerShell, Python, and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking, including Azure networking, VNet Gateway, ACL, DataLake, security, and network isolation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications in CCNA, CCNP, Azure, Barracuda, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.
