We have opportunities for you. Collins has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Civil Site Project Engineer to play a key role on our team in our Salt Lake City, UT, office. The Civil Site Project Engineer performs high-level assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard and moderate engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Supervisor screens assignments for unusual complexities and selects non-routine techniques and procedures to be applied. The ideal candidate will have experience in site grading, drainage, utility design, and land development who can bring creative design practice and problem-solving skills balanced with a solid background in the field. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated, driven professional who is looking for career growth Typical Duties And Responsibilities Prepares and designs plans for site grading, drainage, paving, utilities, and roadways for public and private sector clients. Contributes significantly to projects of all sizes. Prepares hydrology, earthwork, and roadway plans and profile evaluations. Assists in collecting due diligence information and preparing concept site engineering plans. Contributes significantly to the preparation of engineering reports, plans, and specifications. Prepares submittals to state, municipal, and other agencies. Applies judgment on design decisions and selects from standard engineering techniques and alternatives. Makes independent decisions within a general framework and work within agreed upon timelines and budgets. Keeps project engineer and project manager informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services. Responsible for small to moderately difficult projects from inception to completion. Has some communication with clients. Directs and supervises the work of entry-level engineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staff. Other duties may be assigned.
