Responsibilities include scheduling and dispatching drivers, vehicles, or service technicians to appropriate locations according to pre-set schedules, customer requests, or immediate needs. The dispatcher will monitor and track progress of assignments using computer systems and communication devices, relay work orders, messages, and information to or from work crews, supervisors, and customers, maintain records of calls, work or services performed, and dispatches, address customer inquiries and resolve scheduling conflicts quickly and professionally, collaborate with team members and management to optimize routes and maximize efficiency, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Requirements and qualifications include previous experience in dispatch or logistics, excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills, strong verbal and written communication abilities, comfort using computer dispatch systems and technology tools, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
