About role: The Senior Consultant oversees the support, implementation, and deployment of e-business order entry initiatives within the Annuity and Life Insurance sectors, utilizing platforms such as Exchange Products (AnnuityNet, LifeSpeed, Smart office) and iPipeline AFFIRM. This role encompasses engagement with a diverse client base comprising over 65 prominent insurance carriers and distributors, including broker dealers, captive agents, and banks.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive requirements gathering processes to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Perform thorough analysis of business requirements to identify essential features for product development.
  • Model and meticulously maintain carrier products in compliance with IRI/ACORD Standards for PPfA/PPfL, DPfA/DPfL, utilizing VTXml or manual XML modeling techniques.
  • Configure products, features, distribution agreements, commissions, funds, ownerships, and intricate configurations with precision.
  • Conduct rigorous testing to validate product functionality on Order Entry platforms, ensuring seamless performance.
  • Facilitate smooth deployments to test regions and production environments, adhering to established protocols.
  • provide expert support to carriers, distributors, and colleagues, addressing modeling questions and issues with proficiency and professionalism.
  • Utilize XML Spy to proficiently edit or create Forms XML for defining forms libraries and generation rules.
  • Employ Adobe Acrobat to proficiently tag forms using Named Items or iPipeline AFFIRM XPath.
  • Create and maintain Common Map for AFFIRM using XML macro language, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.


Requirements:


  • Extensive experience in Adobe Acrobat PDF forms tagging and editing, demonstrating proficiency in document management.
  • Familiarity with annuity order entry systems such as iPipeline Affirm, AnnuityNet, and life insurance eApp platforms like LifeSpeed and iPipeline Affirm. Thorough knowledge of industry standards including ACORD, XML Forms Management, VTXml, XML Product Modeling (PPfA, PPfL, DPfA, DPfL), XMLSpy, XPath Reference, and MACRO.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Business Analyst competencies, encompassing requirements gathering, documentation, needs analysis, and test plan development and execution.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders including clients, colleagues, and subject matter experts.
  • Proven self-starter with a proactive approach to project advancement, maintaining relentless focus on meeting client delivery dates.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into application and operational specifications, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Ideally coming from an operational background within a life insurance or annuity carrier, wealth management firm, or annuity/life insurance platform provider, possessing comprehensive familiarity with insurance products, application packages, business rules, and Information Technology Services systems.
  • Familiarity with DTCC, e-Sign applications, or AMP is considered advantageous.
