The Role

We are searching for a fantastic new IT Manager to become a valued member of our San Diego team. This role will be based in San Diego but will support our national operations and will have hours of 6AM-2PM Pacific time.

Your primary responsibility will be to execute both routine and complex IT project tasks, prepare new IT environments and maintain existing systems, and work collaboratively with our operations team to ensure all IT items are functioning flawlessly. You will also need to achieve and maintain the trust and confidence of all Hughes Marino team members regarding your ability to provide efficient and accurate responses when IT incidents occur or when IT service is requested. You will be responsible for supporting IT operations for all the Hughes Marino office locations including San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Boston, Raleigh, Dallas and Salt Lake City with more on the way


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience in the following technologies is required: device management platforms (e.g., Workspace One, Intune, MaaS360), unified communications technologies (e.g., VOIP, IM, Telepresence), and cloud-hosted email and storage solutions.
  • We strongly prefer candidates with corporate experience collaborating across departments to successfully deliver routine and complex IT projects.
  • We highly prioritize candidates with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to tailor their communication styles to effectively meet the needs of diverse audiences requesting IT services.
  • Strong aptitude for learning and understanding numerous software packages, operating systems, computer hardware and other peripherals.
  • Ability to collaborate with all internal teams to identify and correct a wide range of IT concerns.
  • Prioritize and schedule technical service projects and routine assignments. Document and report on status of all projects and assignments.
  • Ensure satisfactory resolution of all IT ticket items. Ability to effectively manage incident responses in a timely manner.
  • Create and update documentation regarding software features, IT asset configurations, IT procedures, and training on IT systems.
  • Creative thinker with ability to recognize and solve problems by thinking outside the box.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details
  • Great attention to detail, especially when managing different projects and documenting procedures.
  • Energized by growth and change.
  • Ability to complete projects under pressure in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team.


Qualifications

  • Our ideal candidates are local and will be based out of our beautiful Hughes Marino Headquarters in downtown San Diego if selected.
  • A Bachelor's degree in IT, Information Systems, Business, or a related field is required (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 5+ years of recent face-to-face user support, 5+ years of recent IT project experience, and 2+ years in an analytical or operations environment.
  • Must have a positive, “can-do” attitude, be adaptable, enjoy working collaboratively, and possess a strong team-oriented service mentality.
  • Must be flexible to travel to office locations outside of San Diego 5-10% of the time. Also requires flexibility with occasional planned (and infrequently unplanned) schedule demands outside of normal business hours.
