Role Overview: Robert Half is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Construction Engineer to join our team for a long-term contract with the intention to convert to a full-time role. This position is 100% onsite in South San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure design and implementation, with specific expertise in construction and RCDD standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and orchestrate the implementation of electrical and RCDD light infrastructure projects in compliance specific standards
  • Review and modify submitted drawings from contractors, ensuring cost accuracy and adherence to infrastructure design specifications.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of infrastructure for multiple building renovations, including conduits, equipment cabinets, and coded infrastructure.
  • Manage and coordinate the IT Passive Infrastructure and Active Systems related activities.
  • Ensure the design, engineering, and commissioning of IT Special Systems Rooms (SSR).
  • Allocate and schedule project resources for both internal employees and subcontractors.
  • Develop and procure Bill of Materials for passive infrastructure and related hardware.
  • Track procurement and coordinate the installation schedule for passive infrastructure and related hardware.
  • Provide project management and oversight for all phases of construction of IT Special Systems Rooms (SSRs).
  • Design and install horizontal copper and fiber cables following internal and BICSI standards.


Technical Expertise:

  • Deep understanding of company standards and the ability to learn and enforce them.
  • Proficient in reviewing construction drawings and making necessary changes.
  • Knowledgeable in procurement and material purchasing.
  • Skilled in Visio and Microsoft Project.


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project management/design of IT infrastructure, special system rooms, and passive systems.
  • RCDD or other infrastructure certifications.
  • Previous experience in voice/data installation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Microsoft Project, and Visio.
  • Strong team player with the ability to take direction and collaborate effectively.
