Role Overview

The Launch Project Manager III serves as the primary liaison between clients and Kasasa’s internal teams during the implementation of new products. They see projects through from beginning to end, coordinating the work from their cross-functional team members, including Technical Engineers, Marketing Implementation Specialists, Loans Implementation Specialists, Designers, Copywriters, and Front-End Developers. They are charged both with leading the teams in every facet of the production as well as being the direct point of contact with the financial institution, steering both parties through the production process in a timely manner while embodying the Patch Values.

The Launch Project Manager must understand the basics of each discipline for their various resources as well as have a holistic understanding of the software implementation, marketing implementation, loans implementation, and website production process. The end result of a Launch Project Manager’s work is functioning software, a best-in-class website, and Kasasa marketing that delivers record-setting sales and revenue to our clients.

Through demonstrated results, the Launch Project Manager III is tasked with growing and mentoring the LPM team including onboarding new team members and providing support for ongoing process improvements and documentation. In addition, they will be assigned various initiatives, acting as a subject matter expert in representation of the LPM team and process- attending meetings, building process, providing training and other needs as they arise.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Responsibilities)

  • Infuse the Patch Values into your work ethic, every day and every interaction.
  • Primary and direct point of contact on all issues related to onboarding new Kasasa clients.
  • Guide clients through the launch process of all products from kickoff to go-live.
  • Effectively set and manage client expectations and timelines.
  • Keep projects on schedule and ensure they launch within pre-defined timeframe goals.
  • Build an excellent rapport with clients and maintain client satisfaction throughout the process.
  • Escalate, inform, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage and lead multi-discipline teams toward launching software, websites, and Kasasa marketing.
  • Coordinate workflow and priorities across various team members.
  • Gather all necessary materials from clients and ensure team members have them as needed.
  • Serve as the internal “quarterback,” ensuring all stakeholders are informed of the status and on-going needs of the project.
  • Overcome obstacles—internally or from client—to ensure final products are delivered on time and with best-in-class quality.
  • Ensure project plans, target launch dates, and pertinent information remain current in all systems.
  • Mentor and assist the LPMs with their growth and expansion of knowledge.
  • Serve as the first line of defense for questions from the team with a demonstrated knowledge of process.
  • Assist with documenting and improving process for the team.
  • Contribute and execute innovative ideas that improve processes and efficiencies.
  • Subject matter expert in representation of the LPM team and process- attending meetings, building process, providing training and other needs as they arise.
  • Lead and maintain team onboarding process and training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years in project management. Knowledge of banking is a plus.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage concurrent projects and clients in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Client-facing experience in unsupervised interaction.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Strong problem analysis and resolution skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Motivated self-starter that can succeed and get results.
  • Experience utilizing project management software.
  • Experience creating process from start to finish for new product initiatives and ongoing improvements.
  • Experience onboarding new team members.
  • Must be legally allowed to work in the U.S.
