Job Description:

As a Structural Steel Detailer at Ogden Brothers Construction, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, precision, and quality of our structural steel projects. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the detailing process and conduct rigorous assessments to uphold our standards of excellence.


Structural Steel Detailing:

Utilize industry-leading software (e.g., Tekla Structures, AutoCAD) to create detailed drawings, models, and plans for structural steel components.

Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to accurately translate design specifications into detailed fabrication and erection drawings.

Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to address design requirements, resolve discrepancies, and optimize structural integrity.


Communication and Collaboration:

Serve as a key point of contact for internal teams, external contractors, and third-party inspectors regarding structural steel detailing and quality control matters.

Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and facilitate resolutions to issues related to structural steel fabrication and installation.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Proven experience (2 years) as a structural steel detailer or quality control specialist in the construction industry.

Proficiency in structural steel detailing software such as Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, or similar programs.

In-depth knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes, welding techniques, and industry standards (e.g., AISC, AWS).

Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
