Job Description:

As a Structural Steel Detailer and Quality Control Specialist at Ogden Brothers Construction, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, precision, and quality of our structural steel projects. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the detailing process and conduct rigorous quality control assessments to uphold our standards of excellence.


Quality Control:

Develop and implement comprehensive quality control procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Conduct thorough inspections of fabricated and erected steel structures to verify dimensional accuracy, weld quality, material specifications, and overall adherence to project requirements.

Identify and document discrepancies, defects, or non-conformities, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.


Communication and Collaboration:

Serve as a key point of contact for internal teams, external contractors, and third-party inspectors regarding structural steel detailing and quality control matters.

Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and facilitate resolutions to issues related to structural steel fabrication and installation.

Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.

Proven experience (X years) as a structural steel detailer or quality control specialist in the construction industry.

Proficiency in structural steel detailing software such as Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, or similar programs.

In-depth knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes, welding techniques, and industry standards (e.g., AISC, AWS).

Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
