Aera Systems LLC is a modular homebuilding startup with a mission to rapidly construct sustainable human habitats. We are developing a vertically integrated, modular approach to construction which will drive down the cost of carbon neutral homes. We are seeking an experienced content creator to produce, edit and capture mostly video content related to our product development process. Content will be both long and short form and will be posted on most major social media channels as well as a YouTube channel launched specifically for this project. Examples of video content to include documentation of product testing, thought leadership pieces, promotional videos, and updates on the engineering, construction and operation of our first sustainable home model. Applicants should be well versed in all aspects of video production including concepting, developing storyboards/scripts, logistics, videography, photography and editing. Applicants should also have a deep understanding of social media strategy and in particular YouTube content strategy. Applicants will be expected to work with Aera leadership on optimizing content and developing an overarching strategy for YouTube. This is a contract position with the potential to grow into a full time role with the company. The initial scope of work will include the creation of a content strategy and the delivery of approximately 1 piece of long form and 2 short form videos per month. The following is a list of requirements and responsibilities for the role:


Content Creator Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the founder to develop a content creation strategy
  • Develop and manage the content calendar
  • Produce, shoot and edit video
  • Manage logistics related to content creation
  • Post 2-3 pieces of content per month
  • Monitor content KPI's along with internal staff


Job Requirements

  • 5 + years experience with content creation or social media management.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to invest your time and creative energy into helping launch a new business.
  • A well rounded portfolio demonstrating the technical knowledge and aesthetic vision compatible with our business
  • Experience with managing a successful YouTube channel
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent communication skills
