JOB SCOPE

Oversee and guide the analytical, quality control, and quality assurance endeavors across our Henderson, KY & Wenatchee, WA plants. As the Technical Manager, you'll uphold ISO certification, oversee the Process Engineer, Laboratory Supervisor, and Process Control Technicians.


*If you do not have experience in aluminum manufacturing, I will not be reaching out to you*


JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Expertise in aluminum, including its alloys and analysis procedures

• Proficiency in statistical process control theory and procedures.

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related scientific/technical field

• Four years' experience in analytical and quality-related roles

• Two years' experience in supervision with formal training in quality and laboratory environments

• Completion of training under plant SPC program

• Willingness to travel 20% across the country

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Excellent interpersonal skills


PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead by example, adhering to all safety and environmental standards and company policies

• Provide training and guidance to ensure safety and minimize environmental risks; foster a safety-oriented culture

• Champion the company culture in all activities, fostering a positive and respectful work environment

• Enhance the skills and knowledge of team members

• Conduct timely and effective annual performance appraisals for direct reports, addressing areas of concern and setting goals

• Assist other managers and supervisors in developing the technical skills of their teams

• Ensure all products and raw materials are tested, evaluated, certified, packaged, and identified according to specifications

• Maintain the precision and acceptability of procedures and instruments related to the work

• Lead continuous improvement efforts and educate subordinates on Lean Manufacturing principles • Protect and maintain assets and work areas

• Keep current documents and files related to technical work

• Safeguard confidential technical information and materials

• Issue reports promptly on plant quality performance and Technical Group activities
