This is a DIRECT HIRE Opportunity
The Production Supervisor directs and coordinates, activities of production department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing production industrial establishment, applying knowledge of production methods, processes, machines and equipment, plant layout, and production capacities of each department.
Production Supervisor Essential Job Functions:
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in metal manufacturing processes, such as machining, metal forming, assembling, and welding, applying knowledge of processes involved, production methods, and products.
Makes sure that training is provided to the employees in proper work methods and procedures.
Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.
Responsible to ensure that the production schedule target is met.
Prepare production reports for upper management and staff.
Ensures the safety of workers in the organization by following all safety guidelines and enforcing all safety policies.
Must be familiar with the methods of production used in the department including machinery.
Must be able to read and understand drawings and blueprints.
Must have leadership skills to direct employees toward production goals.
Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
Utilize problem solving techniques, teamwork building strategies, process control, and continuous process improvement tools to meet or exceed the facility key operating statistics.
Responsible for creating a high morale workplace with the highest ethical standards.
Monitors and take appropriate timely improvement action to meet production quality and quantity.
Production Supervisor Job Requirements:
HS Diploma or Equivalent
Basic knowledge of hand tools (wrenches, hammers ,sanders, etc.)
Certifications are an advantage in Quality Systems(ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma) and ASME but not required.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a manufacturing environment which requires a thorough knowledge of the industry and understanding of the importance of safety. It routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
