Select Physical Therapy is actively seeking a Full Time Certified Hand Therapist to specialize in treating various upper extremity disorders such as tendon injuries, sprains/strains, post-operative fractures, and more.
The ideal Hand Therapist must excel in custom splinting techniques and will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic center with an orthopedic caseload.
Referrals will predominantly come from hand and orthopedic surgeons for comprehensive care.Joining the Select family means becoming part of the largest group of hand therapists within a single organization nationwide.
Our well-established national hand therapy program operates in 32 states with over 250 CHT's and an additional 500 therapists across the country.
The ideal candidate will be a Certified Hand Therapist, although individuals with level 2 or 3 hand experience will also be considered.
Our New Milford center offers both physical and occupational therapy services to the community, working closely with a neighboring orthopedic practice.
Patients present with a wide range of injuries including sports-related, orthopedic, hand, and neurologic conditions.Unique Job Opportunities:
Nationally supported mentorship program is available for therapists pursuing their CHT credentials. Seasoned therapists have the chance to transition into mentorship roles.
Education Opportunities:
National UE symposium, journal club, CHT study group are available, along with free local CEU's and webinar training programs. Additional certification courses are offered for UE COMT. The team conducts hand therapy meetings in each local area, supplemented by virtual meetings and training.
Opportunities include observing in physician clinics, working in contracted positions in physician's clinics, engaging in research activities, teaching internal courses on a national and local level, contributing to educational initiatives, developing programs for special populations, and more.

Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include evaluating, developing treatment plans, supervising assistants, contributing to case management, and providing high-quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
Maintaining positive client relationships and fostering client interactions are essential in this role.Qualifications:
Successful candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school for Occupational or Physical Therapy, hold specialty certification or licensure in Hand Therapy, possess national registration and state licensure or registration, be experienced in custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic care, have a minimum of two years in adult rehabilitation, hand, and splinting experience, hold CPR certification, and maintain a valid state driver's license.
