Welder/Fabricator 2nd ShiftCleaver Brooks is looking for a Welder/Fabricator - 2nd Shift to join our team in Lincoln, NE. The Welder/Fabricator will fabricate and weld pressure vessels and related components in accordance to ASME code. Overtime as needed.Essential Functions:Must have the ability to understand and follow all safety rules.Be willing to learn how to operate the overhead crane, scissor lift, use scaffolding & ladders.Must have the ability to work in confined space and up to 25 feet heights as required.Have the ability to read blueprints and process sheets accurately preferred.Must know, understand, and abide by 5S housekeeping procedures and Lean Manufacturing practices.Be willing to understand and use IFS time keeping system to clock on/off jobs correctly and accurately.Must demonstrate full competence in meeting safety, quality and production standards.Willing to learn the following weld certifications:GMAW-S (FCAW), All positions, desiredGMAW-SC, All positions, desiredSMAW, All positions, desiredGTAW, All positions, desiredMust follow Procedures for Welder performance Qualification Testing.Performs work as a Floater in the Fabrication & Assembly, Pressure Vessel, or CNC Departments as assigned.Apply intellect, creativity, adaptability, judgment, and management skills to achieve required results.Ensure duties and company projects are accomplished in an efficient and cost effective manner.Support peers and management with internal and external projects.Adhere to company policies.Performs all other job duties as assigned by the Team Leader or Supervisor.Basic Requirements:Education:High School degree or GED and 2 year degree in Welding Technology preferred; must have good reading, writing and math skills.Experience:Gas Metal Arc Welding experience preferredGas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and ability to pass a 6G welding test according to ASME code preferred.Have the ability to read blueprints and process sheets accurately preferredHave experience with measurement tools, preferred.Metal Fabrication experience preferred.Physical Skill & Effort:Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. 40" high occasionally and up to 50 lbs. overhead on a regular basis. Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on hard cement surface and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat and climb ladders. Must be able to read tape measure; read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating/procedure and maintenance instructions. May work in confined spaces as narrow as 22" in diameter. Will require working in areas up to 25 feet from the ground. Must be able to climb stairs and work in temperature ranges corresponding with the outside ambient temperatures.
