Job Overview: Seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Public Relations Intern to join Kandice Rae Communications (KRC). As a PR intern, you will be exposed to various aspects of public relations, assisting in implementing PR campaigns and strategies to enhance KRC’s client’s reputation. This paid internship offers valuable hands-on experience in the PR field and the opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals.


Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in drafting press releases, media alerts, editorial pitches, and other PR materials.
  2. Monitor media coverage and compile media reports.
  3. Maintain media contact lists and databases.
  4. Assist in organizing and coordinating editorial meetings at key industry trade shows.
  5. Conduct and stay on top of research to support PR planning and strategy development for various clients.
  6. Support social media efforts and contribute to content creation (especially on LinkedIn).
  7. Help with administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings and handling correspondence and pertinent documents.
  8. Collaborate with team members on various PR projects and initiatives.


Requirements:

  1. Utah-based applicants only.
  2. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
  3. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Familiarity with managing social media profiles (digital marketing strategies are a plus).
  5. Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.
  6. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  8. Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive can-do attitude.

Duration and Compensation: This paid internship requires a commitment of 20 hours per week, with flexibility. It lasts three months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs.
