Overview: Synechron is seeking to hire a Functional tester with strong experience of testing tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, Selenium, etc. Also the candidate should be good with SQL and database systems.



Overall Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that software products are of high quality and meet customer expectations
  • Develop and execute test cases, scripts, and plans
  • Report and track defects and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve issues
  • Participate in code and design reviews



Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification is a plus



Experience:

  • Experience in manual testing and some automation testing.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Understanding of software development and testing processes



Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Review software requirements and specifications
  • Develop and execute test cases, scripts, and plans
  • Report and track defects
  • Participate in code and design reviews
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve issues
