LaSalle Network has partnered with a Merchandising company in the Chicagoland area in helping them find their next Logistics Analyst rockstar If you are a critical thinker who excels at problem-solving and multitasking and are a guru in Excel, this position is for you This is a temp to perm opportunity and full-time onsite in Gurnee, IL.
As the Logistics Analyst, you will be the main contact for transportation management; you'll handle freight rate setup, reconciliation, analytics, load planning, mode determination and carrier selection. You'll manage all transportation modes, both domestic and international, and work with third-party freight management systems.
Logistics Analyst Responsibilities:
- Set up freight rates, interpreting carrier contracts
- Collaborate with clients on logistics analytics and cost-saving practices
- Conduct logistics analysis for new and existing business
- Monitor and resolve freight invoice discrepancies
- Manage and optimize transportation services
- Handle transportation inquiries, load planning and OS&D claims
- Track daily shipments and manage vendor relationships
Logistics Analyst Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ years in logistics and/or transportation management
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and multitasking abilities
- Experience with IBM iSeries or similar systems
