Production Planner Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize operational efficiency
  • Work closely with production facility and centralized planning team to align production plans with overall company objectives
  • Implement and execute inventory strategies to achieve optimal levels, balancing between customer service goals and cost objectives
  • Monitor and manage inventory days on hand, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
  • Clear and process any system errors generated by production that may cause delays in shipments in a timely manner
  • Ensure customer on-time service levels exceed 95% through effective production planning and coordination
  • Address any customer-related concerns or inquiries promptly
  • Optimize production capacity utilization while considering storage constraints
  • Collaborate with operations to identify and address capacity challenges proactively
  • Maintain regular communication with operations, customer support, warehousing, purchasing departments and on-site teams to ensure smooth production operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address scheduling adherence issues and implement root cause corrective actions
  • Utilize and maintain ERP planning systems, with a preference for experience in SAP, to ensure accurate and up-to-date production data
  • Implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of data management processes
  • Apply lean six sigma principles to identify opportunities for process improvement within the production planning and inventory management functions


Packaging Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in production planning or a related role within the supply chain
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and experience with ERP planning systems, with SAP preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or experience is preferred
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
