As a candidate, you are encouraged to ask compensation related questions and have an open dialogue with your recruiter who can provide you more specific details for this role.Job DescriptionTD Securities is seeking a highly motivated Asset Backed Securitization (ABS) Structurer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asset-backed securities, finance, and quantitative analysis. This role involves structuring and underwriting ABS-related deals, building collateral, cashflow and credit models, and working closely with various teams to support strategic initiatives and projects.Key ResponsibilitiesStructuring and underwriting ABS-related deals.Working with 3rd parties in underwriting processes.Building and maintaining ABS-related collateral, cashflow, and credit models.Collaborating with banking teams for new deal pitches.Assisting sales teams with investor requests and stress scenario analysis.Studying rating agencies' coverage and methodologies.Generating new structuring strategies.Identifying new subsector growth opportunities within the bank with the coverage group.Depth & ScopeDevelops existing and new syndicate client relationships. Executes all investment grade and SSA USD transactions. Provides market updates of investment grade issuers as well as frequent borrowers when needed in the U.S., Canada, and Europe, in concert with DCM partners in Toronto, London, and Singapore. Prepares and recommends best pricing solutions for interest rate and cross-currency derivative transactions. Provides new issue documentation (e.g. ISDA negotiations, term sheet, book runner, and swap summary). Provides support of the team on all fixed income new issues and structured MTN business. Provides guidance and desk coverage for members of the New York Origination & Syndication team where appropriate. Maximizes the profitability of the business by maintaining and enhancing the Banks profile and market share. Adheres personally and at a desk level to the firm's procedures. Understands and complies with TD Securities (USA) Policies, regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring that transactions are fully documented and processed accurately and in a timely manner. Communicates bank, policy information, and strategy between the product head and relevant trading personnel. Provides expert knowledge of market data, economic information and key industry developments as well as regulatory standards at all times to assist in maximizing profitability through sound trading decisions. Position develops and maintains contacts. Manages performance and provides instruction, training and mentoring to junior personnel on the DCM team in New York. Demonstrates governance, control and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices.Education & ExperienceUndergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics; Series 7 and 63 5-7 Years of related experiencePreferred QualificationsStrong knowledge of asset-backed securities and banking. Proficiency in VBA and SQL; knowledge of Python is a plus. Expertise in Discount Cashflow, Price Yield, Duration, Bond Math, Stress Testing, Scenario Analysis, Breakeven Analysis, and Optimization Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as well as part of a team. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
