Trading Operations Analyst:

Our client are a London-based Hedge Fund growing in the US, they currently have 10 people based in Florida, Boca Raton and this will be the first Trading Operations hire in the Florida office.

You will be a key part of the first team responsible for the implementation of the fund operational functions spanning trading operations, product control, and treasury whilst also providing necessary input and support to other functional areas such as Risk, Compliance and Client Relations where required.


Responsibilities:

  • Independently review and ensure completion of daily T+0 and T+1 trading affirmations, allocations and reconciliation of market activity and cash accounts.
  • Interact professionally with internal teams, investment teams and prime brokers to resolve questions and reconciliation differences.
  • Preparation and review of internal performance estimates by reconciling between the company and counterparties records.
  • Review of daily corporate action information and following up with internal stakeholders and external counterparties.
  • Generation and review of daily and monthly reports including broker commissions, interest, margin and performance statistics.
  • Monitoring of all Fund service providers, including SLAs and KPIs
  • Review and verification of independent administrator (valuation service provider) month end net asset value calculation on a detailed level, including complex master feeder structures, fee calculation and managed account vehicles. Ability to identify and resolve issues independently.
  • Cash management including accounts payable, treasury management, counterparty margin requirements, trade settlements and movements between Master Feeder structure to ensure compliance to company and fund policy and procedures.
  • Assist the risk management function in the production and review of daily and monthly reports pertaining to all three business lines


Experience / Skills

  • Educated to Degree level, ideally with a STEM background
  • 1-3 years experience working within a Hedge Fund
  • Has an interest in financial markets
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Python skills would be an added advantage
  • Flexibility in working hours and a team player
