Introduction
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking a profressional, talented and motivated individual to serve as the Behavioral Health Coordinator in the Wellness program. In this role, you will work with sworn and civilian staff members, managing all aspects of the Agency's wellness support program.

Job Summary
The Behavioral Health Coordinator will design, implement, and administer the wellness program for the Sheriff's Office, overseeing all aspects of the Agency's behavioral health support systems.
In this role, you will:
Direct and manage the administration, development & delivery of behavioral health awareness program
Provide data and support for the behavioral health program
Organize, develop, and implement stress resiliency training and education for agency members; outsourcing and/or overseeing training as needed
Serve as a resource to employees by addressing questions related to behavioral health and wellness, provide referrals and resources
Visit work sites to discuss issues and engage employees on behavioral health issues and/or concerns
Provide in-house assessment and counseling services for critical incidents response and follow ups as needed
Develop and manage objectives, procedures, and strategies for the Peer Support Team to provide guidance and support after critical incidents and information about behavioral health services available to peers
Assist in providing Crisis Intervention Team training to law enforcement and first responder sworn and civilian staff.
Provide referrals and resources for behavioral health and substance abuse services
Build relationships and collaborate with community partners, including Loudoun County Fire & Rescue, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), affiliate counselors and providers, substance abuse programs, and wellness organizations
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field; two (2) years of directly related clinical work experience preferably working with public safety populations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver's license and good driving record (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification); must meet mandatory licensure requirement as cited in Virginia Board of Licensing which contains regulations governing the practice of clinical counseling/psychotherapy. Must hold and maintain one of the following Virginia licenses: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC); Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT); and/or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Program management
Health, wellness, and stress resiliency training
Certification as a Certified Addictions Counselor (CSAC)
At least one (1) certification in Disaster Behavioral Health Services, Psychological First Aid, and/or Critical Incident Stress Management.
Five (5) years of clinical mental health work experience working with emergency medical service or public safety populations.
Familiarity with Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and knowledge of HIPAA regulations
Advanced organizational skills
Ability to provide behavioral health services remotely using appropriate technological support and according to professional standards
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Selection process includes review of Applicant Screening Questionnaire and County employment application, in-person interview(s), and an intensive background investigation to include fingerprinting, criminal background check, credit check, driving record and polygraph examination.
The Sheriff's Office provides service to the community 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. This position will work hours per week and may be required to work occasional nights and weekends; and respond to events, meetings, and paging while off duty.
