Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Host Railroad Coordinator for immediate employment to work fully remote.
The Amtrak ADA Stations Program (ADASP) is responsible for bringing Amtrak stations into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The ADASP implements design and construction of infrastructure improvements to provide accessibly to Amtrak’s intercity rail transportation system. This position will be part of a Joint Venture (AECOM & Jacobs) that is providing staff and services to Amtrak.
The ADASP is performing design and construction activities at over 380 Amtrak served stations. This position will support the Manager of Host Railroad Coordination with securing right-of-entry and protection support from the nationwide network of railroads. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
  • Manage Right-of-Entry process at stations for ADA assessments, land surveys, design site visits, geotechnical borings and construction activities:
  • Review Contractor insurance coverage
  • Review Contractor Site Specific Work Plan
  • Assist Contractor with Host RR safety training requirements
  • Assist Contractor with securing Host RR flag protection
  • Assist Contractor with Right of Entry application
  • Coordinate the review and approval of Amtrak station design documents with the Host railroad:
  • Monitor Host RR status of design review requests
  • Work with Amtrak PMs to provide Host railroad design requirements and standards
  • Review and validate Host RR invoices
  • Participate in weekly Host RR conference calls
  • Participate in ADASP kickoff meetings and station conference calls with various Amtrak departments as needed
  • Assist Amtrak System and Division Engineering groups with Contractor access to Host railroad properties for SOGR projects
  • Provide guidance and approach to issue involving the host railroad.
  • Report the status of Host RR actives to program leadership weekly.

High School Diploma plus 2 years experience with Class 1, Passenger, Municipal and State Administrated Railroads. (Railroad Operations, Track, and Safety) Preferred Qualifications
