What we are looking for:

The purpose of this position is to perform a wide variety of tasks in the areas of timber sale preparation, fuels reduction, and timber stand improvements. Restoration Activities. May work with BLM contacts to perform forestry activities such as flagging and mapping future fuels units, reforestation stand exams recording plot data and utilizing mapping tool software, taking plots and examining planted seedlings, clears and surveys roads and culverts for drivability and access. Timber Sale Preparation: As a technician, this position may assist BLM or ODF/GNA in timber sale preparation.

Minimum Qualifications

Eighteen months of experience working in the field of Forestry or Natural Resources.

OR
Associate Degree in Forestry, Forest Engineering, Forest Recreation, Fire Protection or a related natural resource field of study;

OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Note:  Driver’s License Check - This position requires the operation of a state vehicle for the purpose of conducting official State business. If your license is from outside Oregon, you must submit at least a three-year court/DMV printout.  If you have an Oregon driver’s license, a record check will be conducted on the top candidate to ensure a valid license and acceptable driving record.
