The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead a team of professionals overseeing the drainage design of mid- to large scale complex projects with an emphasis on design-build delivery.

  • Supervise and lead project plan production and technical reports.

  • Establish budgets and schedules for project deliverables.

  • Develop and manage key client relationships.

  • Mentor, grow, and recruit staff.

  • Provide technical expertise for studies and design efforts.

  • Present complex technical solutions to clients.

  • Perform quality control reviews of work developed by others.

  • Participate in the development of technical proposals.

Minimum Requirements
  • BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Valid Driver's license

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or relevant field

  • 10+ years of experience in drainage design

  • 2+ years of WSDOT highway drainage design experience within the last 4 years

  • A current P.E. license in the State of Washington

  • WSDOT Highway Runoff Manual Training Certification

  • Experience developing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets

  • Knowledge of agency/regulatory approval process, standards, and best practices

  • Client connections and relationships with local and state agencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills experience

Additional Information

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.

  • Relocation is not available for this position

  • The selected candidate will be subjected to a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Registration Screening (MVR).
