Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a Civil/Highway Engineer for immediate employment in our Rocky Hill, CT office.

Job Summary:
  • Design tasks including horizontal and vertical geometry, roadside design and other highway design tasks
  • Coordinate efforts of subconsultant(s) and other disciplines.
  • Develop and document effective design solutions.
  • Adhere to quality program requirements.
  • Assist with developing scopes of work and price proposals.
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers.
  • Perform work within budget and schedule.
  • Prepare cost estimates and technical reports.

  • BA/BS + 4 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • 2 plus years experience/familiarity with ConnDOT design publications, AASHTO Greenbook, ADA Manual, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Design experience on Connecticut transportation projects
  • Experience with design software including MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads, AutoTurn, etc. or similar
  • The ability to attain a PE in the state of CT within six (6) months
  • Experience with plan, spec and estimate production
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
