AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer to be based in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Position is scheduled to begin in June 2023.

Job Summary/Responsibilities
As a Structural Engineer with AECOM, you will work under the direction of project engineers and team members to assist in the design, analysis, or inspection of bridge and tunnel projects. Work could include producing design calculations, plans, estimates, specifications, performing inspections, or writing technical reports, under the direction of senior staff.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Builds analytic and design skills.
• Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Develops bridge superstructure and substructure component designs, structural quantities and cost estimates, and component details utilizing OpenBridge Designer, Microstation, AutoCAD and a variety of design software applications and MS Office applications.
• Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Reviews field information and performs field inspection of existing facilities under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Uses computer software as a tool for structural analysis and solving basic engineering problems.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Structural or Civil engineering or other related field required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Excel and MS Word.
• Experience with CAD programs such as AutoCAD is a plus.
• Experience with MathCAD is a plus.
• Experience with modelling software is a plus.
