Aon is looking for an Investment Consulting Analyst in Atlanta, GA

This is an Investment Consulting Analyst role within Aon Investments‘ Client Service Team. The Client Service Team provides both advisory and OCIO investment consulting services to a wide variety of institutional investors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Uses technical, analytical, and communication skills to support consultants and clients in all aspects of data-related work
  • Takes accountability and ownership of work
  • Typically works with 12-18 clients, depending on complexity and other data responsibilities
  • Balances financial account statements for clients‘ investment portfolios
  • Audits rates of return and reconciles discrepancies of returns calculated by our performance system versus those calculated by custodians and/or investment managers
  • Finalizes financial information from multiple sources in order to prepare quarterly investment performance reports
  • Gathers manager research documents pertinent to clients‘ portfolios, bringing them to the attention of senior client team members
  • Updates Risk Analyzer with cash flows in order to produce defined benefit client dashboards
  • Responds to ad hoc requests from clients and/or consultants
  • Composes written interpretations of investment portfolio results and prepares discussion guides for client meetings
  • Meets with senior members of client teams to discuss relevant client matters and/or issues
  • Oversees work conducted by offshore analysts on common clients
  • Acts as client manager for 3-6 client relationships, serving as first point of contact for the client, fielding questions, and fulfilling data and research-related requests; keeps senior client team members informed of all interactions
  • Assists with broad firm-wide research projects as required and likely joining dedicated research committees to increase knowledge in specific asset class areas and support colleagues in research
  • Attends client calls and/or meetings with senior client team members to participate in the delivery and presentation of material contained in documents prepared by client team
  • Participates in mentorship and training of new IC Performance Specialist colleagues

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Excellent technical and analytical skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of capital markets and investments and/or keen interest in developing knowledge of capital markets and investments
  • Proficiency with specific software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office, performance reporting analytics)
  • Demonstrates basic writing and communication skills
  • Ability to successfully oversee work produced by offshore analysts
  • Bachelor‘s degree in relevant area (e.g., business, finance, economics)
  • 1+ years of Investment space work experience

Nothing in this job description restricts management‘s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $58,000 to $78,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant‘s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant‘s geographic location.
