Software Engineer

As a software engineer, you can resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, agile environment. This role is more than just coding. As a software engineer at Booz Allen, you‘ll use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You‘ll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You‘ll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:

  • Experience with back-end development using Java and a Java framework, including Spring or Spring Boot

  • Experience in working with microservices and containerization technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher

  • Experience with Web API development, including REST architectural style

  • Knowledge of Agile methodology

  • Knowledge of Java build tools, including Maven or Gradle

  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

  • HS diploma or GED

  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Compliant Certification, including Security+ or CISSP, within 6 months of start date

Nice If You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience with developing backend software

  • 3+ years of experience with developing in a microservices architecture

  • Experience with JavaScript, CSS, DHTML, HTML, or XML

  • Experience with writing unit tests and E2E testing

  • Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Git, and GitLab

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual‘s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen‘s total compensation package for employees.
