With a focus on excellence and integrity, we strive to deliver exceptional products/services while maintaining strong financial health. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a talented Revenue Accountant to join our finance team. The Revenue Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely recognition of revenue in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies. This position will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and finance, to analyze contracts, assess revenue implications, and drive process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of revenue recognition principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Additional responsibilities and accountabilities for this role could include:• Review and analyze customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards.• Prepare and maintain revenue schedules, including deferred revenue, revenue accruals, and reconciliation of related accounts.• Work closely with sales and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely billing and revenue recognition.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve revenue-related issues and discrepancies.• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to revenue recognition, including journal entries and account reconciliations.• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of revenue recognition policies and procedures.• Prepare revenue-related disclosures for financial statements and support external audit requirements.• Support management in ad-hoc projects and initiatives related to revenue accounting and reporting.THE PERSON• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.• CPA certification preferred.• 4+ years of experience in revenue accounting or related field, preferably in a publicly traded company or public accounting firm.• Strong understanding of ASC 606 and other revenue recognition guidance.• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite and Advanced Revenue Recognition) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.• Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and integrity in all aspects of work.WHY YOU’LL LOVE WORKING AT PLAYON SPORTSPlayOn Sports is more than just a place to work.
