Duties
Provide advice and counsel to BLM, DOI Solicitors Office, other Federal agencies, State/local authorities, general public, professional land surveyors, engineers, lawyers, and land title interests involving complex land survey situations; Serve as the final signing approval and has total responsibility for surveys and re-surveys of all Federal interests on public lands and lands held in Trust; Develop and maintain policies and issues supplemental administrative guidelines and technical procedures for geographic sciences; Maintain a contiguous relationship and liaison with the state office organization, the public, and with other government agencies on all matters involving major cadastral survey program considerations; Responsible for the technical and administrative supervision of a large and complex staff of Professional, Technical, and Administrative staff.
