AECOM is seeking a New Grad Civil Engineer to be based in the Denver, CO office to support a variety of Transportation drainage projects including site investigations, remedial designs, construction, permitting, and reporting.

This position is expected to begin in May 2023.

This position will be responsible for assisting Project Engineers with planning, designing, and documenting transportation drainage engineering projects, such us highway surface drainage, bridge and/channel hydraulics, water quality treatment, and drainage infrastructure. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Builds analytic and design skills.

  • Conducts engineering drainage design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Creates drainage designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

  • Perform development of spreadsheets and data entry.

  • Assist in processing of shop drawings – marking up drawings based on comments made by an engineer.

  • Attend review meeting and field visits, as appropriate, for various projects.

  • Engage with other engineering disciplines to help deliver project work.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate

  • Proficient with MicroStation, AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D Design or similar applications.

  • Experience with hydrology and storm water hydraulic calculations.

  • Offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $55,029.5 to $75,665.57.
