Position Summary & Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

Public Service Executive I

This position performs professional duties related to the administrative support of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. This position will perform various administrative tasks for executive staff members as assigned. This position will communicate with various local, state, and federal agencies, as well as facilitating internal and external communication.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Administrative Support Communication and Coordination with internal and external agency heads Special Project management Calendar and scheduling management Expense Management Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education

High School Diploma, or Equivalent

Licensing & Certification

Valid Kansas Driver’s License

Minimum Qualifications

One year of experience in general office, clerical and administrative support work. Must have excellent organizational skill and the ability to multi-task diverse and sensitive information, which is inherent in the positions. Must have the ability to work with people of all skill sets and work in a team environment; establish and maintain effective work relationships. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications

Training and/or demonstrated experience using computer software utilized by the agency (i.e. SMART, MS EXCEL, POWERPOINT, MS WORD)

Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements

As a condition of employment, you will be subject to a pre-employment process to include a polygraph examination, fingerprint based records check, and comprehensive background investigation, including reference check of past and present employers. The pre-employment process will be waived for current KBI personnel who have previously completed the screening requirements
