Job Description: The Pendleton Cottage, a division of the , has a fantastic opportunity for a REGISTERED NURSE  to join an excellent team working to help people recover from their illness and return to their lives in the community.
 
What you will do
You will provide nursing care and wellness education to individuals currently residing at Pendleton Cottage, a residential care facility with 16 beds. With a focus on person-centered, psychiatric treatment for adults, developing wellness education, and acting as an advocate for residents and their medical needs.

This posting will be used to a fill a permanent position at Pendleton Cottage.

This is a swing shift position which includes working 50% of weekends. 10-hour shifts or 8-hour shifts.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Candidates must obtain a Registered Nurse license from the Oregon State Board of Nursing within a reasonable amount of time from application date

  • All employees in this classification must possess and maintain a valid and unencumbered Oregon Professional Registered Nurse license during the entire length of their employment

  • The ability to be flexible with regards to working hours (days and shifts)

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in different and unusual situations with a wide variety of people

  • The ability to think quickly and address problems as, or before they arise

  • Experience with addressing the needs of residents who have persistent and chronic mental illness and those with Personality Disorders

  • The ability to perform venipuncture's for lab draws

  • Experience in facilitating/teaching groups that address the wellness of the residents

  • Experience in advancing health equity, addressing systemic health inequities and collaborating with diverse communities most harmed by social injustice and health inequities
