**Bilingual differential pay is provided to positions that require the use of a language other than English to fulfill their job duties within their position. Bilingual differential pay is 5% of the employee's base pay.

YOUR DUTIES AT A GLANCE:

to learn more about Aging and People with Disabilities.

  • Determine financial eligibility for Medicaid/Medical Assistance Programs, Supplemental Assistance Program (SNAP), Employment Related Day Care (ERDC), and Long-Term Care Services (LTCS).

  • Provide good customer service by ensuring information provided is given timely and accurately, responses are made in a calm, courteous and respectful manner. 

  • You will update narrative report summarizing new information from client and collateral sources.

WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years of experience determining eligibility for an agency program by interviewing to assess the needs of clients and interpreting and applying the policies, rules, and guidelines applicable to the client's situation.

  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience relative to the class concept.

  • Experience delivering excellent customer service, demonstrate exceptional communication skills while interacting with the public, coworkers, and managers.

  • Experience explaining and articulating complex laws, rules, and policies in a customer-focused manner, to a non-technical audience.

  • Accuracy and Attention to detail ensuring you have a complete understanding of the task you're working on.

  • Experience with accurately completing highly technical and detailed work

**Clearly describe how you meet the minimum qualifications and essential attributes within your application materials. These attributes will be used to determine which candidates will be selected to move forward in the process.   

  

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work is conducted in offices and other program sites.

  • Work can require travel, including overnight.

  • Requires a valid driver’s license or other acceptable method of transportation.  Must have an acceptable driving record.
