Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop custom mechanical systems for packaging machinery, ensuring functionality and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, and project management, to deliver integrated automation solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential issues in design and functionality.
  • Oversee the prototyping and testing of new designs, ensuring performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Provide technical support during the manufacturing and installation phases, troubleshooting any mechanical issues that arise.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional development.
  • Stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies to drive innovation within the team.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications using industry-standard software and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Custom Machine Engineer, demonstrating a track record of successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, automation, and robotics, with a focus on custom machine design
  • Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, control systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical challenges effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership abilities and experience in guiding and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites for project assessments and installations.
