Job Description

This position will work a 12-hour shift on a 2-2-3 schedule, offering a flexible schedule with every other weekend being a 3-day weekend and reduced days per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical troubleshooting and reading electrical prints
  • Hydraulic circuit troubleshooting and debugging, reading machine schematics, and repair
  • Pneumatic circuit troubleshooting and debugging, reading machine schematics, and repair
  • General maintenance, troubleshooting, debugging, and repair of injection-molding machines as needed
  • Executing lock out/tag out procedures as required on all injection and related equipment
  • Initiating, recommending, or providing solutions to prevent downtime through preventative, predictive, or continuous improvement ideas
  • Collaborating with equipment suppliers to determine root causes of equipment failures and implementing permanent solutions
  • Maintaining the plant facility and associated equipment
  • Performing daily checks of all injection molding equipment as outlined on the preventive maintenance schedule
  • Requiring a fork truck license, man lift certificate, and crane operation (training provided)
  • Ownership and maintenance of the required basic set of tools needed to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position

Requirements:

  • Prior maintenance technician experience required (injection molding experience a plus)
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Basic math skills
  • Good judgment and decision-making ability
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate on all levels
  • Valid driver's license, forklift experience, or willingness to learn
  • Basic skills in welding, brazing, soldering, refrigeration repair, machine shop training, fabrication in plastic, electronic repair, and/or mechanical engine repair, transmission repair, and robotics
