Wage and Investment Service Centers Brookhaven Accounts management

The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. Identifies potential and actual problems and probable causes. Researches a variety of issues, gathers pertinent statistics or information, reports findings to higher level employee, and may recommend corrective action for aspects of a program or function. Monitors, reviews, and evaluates operations and interrelationships with other functions regarding workflow, work redundancy, or systemic problems and report findings to higher level employee(s). Verifies completeness and accuracy of controls to ensure compliance with established procedures and formats. Revises procedures, controls, etc., as instructed by analyst(s) or comparable positions. Drafts memoranda, preliminary reports, and charts showing findings or recommendations. Assists management with labor-management issues and grievances through the preparation of reports or responses, frequently having advance knowledge of decisions rendered and actions proposed that may result in personnel actions.
This position has career progression. If you are selected at a grade level lower than the full working level, you may be non-competitively promoted as your career progresses. For example, you may be hired as a GS-05, but if the position has career progression to GS-11, then you may move from a GS-05 to a GS-11 in as little as three years.
