The Peer Review Coordinator and Analyst is a member of the agency's Quality Management Team and is responsible for the overall functioning of the agency's Internal Peer Review process. Aspects of this position includes coordination, assigning, tracking, analysis, trending, reporting, and communication with peer review participants and directors.

This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Remote position open to Missouri residents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB SPECIFIC

  • Coordinate and manage all peer reviews being conducted across the network including:
    o BH Psychiatric Services
    o BH Clinical Services
    - Out-Patient Therapy
    - School Based Therapy
    - Open Assess
    - Psychological Assessments/Testing
    o SUD Therapy Services
    o FQHC Medical Services
    o FQHC Dental Services
  • Establish a quarterly schedule for each peer review group and work with program leadership to update the list of providers that are available to participate in each round of peer reviews
  • Utilize the electronic health records system for each service program to assign random charts for review
  • Distribute the assigned peer reviews following the preferred method of each program's leadership
  • Serve as contact for providers needing assistance with utilizing the electronic form and serve as liaison with the "forms team" for troubleshooting and recommending needed revisions to the forms
  • Data analysis of each program's peer review results that includes inspecting, cleansing, and transforming data that not only shows the results but also with the goal of identifying trends, discovering useful information, informing conclusions, and supporting decision-making for improvement of clinical services
  • Develop follow-up system involving leadership to address results that may fall into a high-risk category
  • Prepare nonidentifying aggregated reports utilizing visual charts that efficiently communicate the results while identifying trends and recommendations in an impactful way
  • Verbally and visually present the reports to each group's respective committee
  • Coordinate the on-going development and improvement of each program's peer review form and processes
  • Provide guidance/training to program management and providers as needed
  • Organize and maintain the detailed data (spreadsheet) in a way that can easily be sorted and filtered to drill down on data
  • Assure and monitor the proper storage of the confidential information needed to maintain the protected and undiscoverable status of peer reviews
  • Collaborate with appropriate program leadership to consult on peer review processes along with required components to meet all standards including HRSA, DMH, and CARF, development of questions for the peer review, and recommend adjustments for continued improvements based on data analysis
  • Special projects as assigned by the Chief Quality Officer
  • Other duties as assigned

  • High School/GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

    QUALIFICATION(S): WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Knowledge of Peer Review components and process preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially utilization of Excel and working with pivot tables
