Job Description

General Position Description:

Under general direction from the Maintenance management team, perform repairs and preventive maintenance to commercial HVAC systems and industrial chillers in manufacturing plant. Must have the following qualifications.

Description of essential job functions:

  • EPA Universal certification.
  • Journeyman HVAC certification.
  • At least 3 years' experience in HVAC repair and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs refrigerated water chillers.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs AC systems.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical components on HVAC equipment.
  • Understands and adheres to LOTO policy.
  • Starts devices to test their performance.
  • Uses machine tools as necessary to perform repairs.
  • Maintains records and inventory of spare parts.
  • Researches repair parts and initiates requisitions.
  • Uses sound troubleshooting techniques to determine "root cause" solutions.
  • Documents repair actions daily.
  • Performs all other tasks as necessary to maintain plant equipment and property.
