Position Overview

As a vital member of our facilities management team, the HVAC Technician is responsible for the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems associated with commercial HVAC installations. The role ensures optimal performance and safety of equipment, while minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities

- Adhere to all relevant codes, regulations, and company policies related to building operations and safety standards.
- Conduct maintenance, operation, and repair of HVAC systems and associated components, including electrical distribution and plumbing systems.
- Perform inspections of HVAC and plumbing systems to verify that equipment operates within design specifications and meets client environmental requirements.
- Execute emergency repairs and preventive maintenance, maintaining accurate records of all activities.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, coordinating additional support as necessary.
- Analyze historical maintenance data to establish a proactive maintenance schedule.
- Safely operate company vehicles and adhere to established service routines.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or trade school training.
- EPA Universal certification is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook.
- Physical capabilities include stooping, standing, walking, climbing, and the ability to lift and carry loads of 50 lbs or more.
