Currently we are partnered with a preferred client in Elko Nevada in search of a highly talented Director of Pharmacy.

Job Summary:

Our client a 75bed acute care hospital is seeking a fulltime Director of Pharmacy to lead their pharmacy department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all pharmacy operations ensuring regulatory compliance managing staff and implementing departmental goals aligned with organizational objectives. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in a rural healthcare setting committed to providing highquality familyfriendly care.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement departmental goals plans and standards consistent with clinical administrative legal and ethical requirements
  • Direct and evaluate pharmacy operations including patient care delivery information technologies and service level determination
  • Plan and monitor staffing activities including hiring orienting evaluating and disciplinary actions
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets
  • Coordinate internal/external audits and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Foster an environment that encourages professional growth and integrates evidencebased practices
  • Act as the Managing Pharmacist responsible for compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations (upon NV licensure)
Qualifications:

I. Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Pharmacy required
  • Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred

II. Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of pharmacy leadership experience in a hospital or acute care setting
  • Experience with pharmacy operations regulatory compliance and staff management

III. License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Current Pharmacist license or ability to obtain Nevada Pharmacist license within 3 months of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire
  • FEMA certifications and Handle with Care training required within specified timeframes
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problemsolving and critical thinking abilities
  • Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and best practices
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in budgeting and resource management
