JOB DESCRIPTION

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and maintain tools, frameworks, and systems that boost developer productivity.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to developers.
  • Recommend, implement, and maintain continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline templates and best practices.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact and subject matter expert for application deployment related issues, concerns, and needs.
  • Working with software developers and engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
  • Establish best practices, standards, and guidelines for software development.
  • Remain well informed of the latest tools, technologies, and trends in software development.
  • Occasional travel for commissioning or servicing of equipment.
  • Work efficiently, safely, and follow all NOV Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain all company information as confidential.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, or demonstrable equivalent education and experience required.
  • 5 or more years of professional DevOps experience required.
  • Proficient in scripting and programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Proficient with GitHub, GitHub Actions, JIRA, and Docker.
  • Experience with Linux is required.
  • Familiarity with C#/C++, Angular, and .NET
  • Working knowledge of databases like PostgreSQL
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS is a plus.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Some travel may be required greater than 15% annually.
  • Consistent computer work may require 8 or more hours working at a desk.
  • Extended standing and light lifting (less than 25 pounds) may be required.
