The Sr Director of Indirect Procurement reports directly to the VP of Supply Chain of the company. In this role, he/she will be tasked with formulating a strategic procurement approach and overseeing the acquisition process for all goods and services, excluding raw materials, required by the organization. This individual will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing all facets of indirect procurement activities for our operations, evaluating the efficiency of supply chain operations. The role will be based in Orlando, FL, leading a procurement team with two (2) direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
•Develop and execute the strategic vision for indirect procurement, aligned with the overall business objectives.
•Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate procurement strategies with broader organizational goals.
•Serve as the subject matter expert for procurement related questions, policy and procedure interpretation and alignment by all departments.

Team Management:
•Lead and inspire a high-performing team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship
•Establish, communicate, and implement long-term goals for the department in order to promote effectiveness and efficiency.
•Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on continuous improvement.

Supplier Relationship Management:
•Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
•Negotiate favorable terms and conditions, while balancing the need for quality, sustainability, and innovation.

Cost Optimization:
•Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising product quality or supplier relationships.
•Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and implement best practices in procurement operations.

Risk Management:
•Develop & implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.
•Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and geopolitical factors that may impact procurement activities.

Compliance:
•Ensure compliance w/ relevant laws, regulations & ethical standards in all procurement activities.
•Implement & monitor procurement policies & procedures to uphold highest standards of integrity.
•Liaison with Finance and Internal Audit to establish process checks.

Sustainability Initiatives:
•Lead the development and execution of sustainable and responsible sourcing strategies.
•Stay abreast of industry trends & CI sustainability best practices, incorporating them into procurement operations.

Minimum Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
•An MBA is a considerable asset. Professional certification in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain is desirable. At least 15+ years related work experience.
•Finance/Cost Accounting experience preferred.
•Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
•Knowledge of an accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP) system (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP).

Additional Considerations:

A new corporate office is currently being planned near downtown Orlando, FL over the next 6 months to 1 year. Expectations for the new Sr Director of Indirect Procurement is to manage a hybrid work environment, dividing his/her time 2-3 days in the office and 2 days from home office along side the President & CEO once fully staffed. Near-term the work will be performed remotely from a home office, except for required business travel to trade shows, etc.. Travel Expectation: Up to 5%.
