Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Lead to oversee the quality assurance of our data warehousing and business insight projects. The Test Lead will be responsible for managing a team of testers, defining the test strategy, implementing best practices, identifying areas for automation, and collaborating with customers. The projects involve the creation of Tableau dashboards and the use of data engineering tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Matillion for warehousing.


Key Responsibilities:


Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of testers to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor progress to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Test Strategy and Planning:

  • Define and develop comprehensive test strategies and plans for projects involving Tableau, Databricks, Snowflake, and Matillion.
  • Ensure test plans are aligned with project requirements and customer expectations.
  • Implement and enforce QA processes and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify areas for test automation and implement automation frameworks where applicable.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with data engineers, developers, and business analysts to understand project requirements and data flows.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all QA-related activities internally and with clients.
  • Communicate test results, issues, and risks to stakeholders effectively.

Quality Assurance:

  • Perform hands-on testing wherever required.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet the defined quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough testing of Tableau dashboards, data transformations, and ETL processes to identify and fix defects.
  • Validate data accuracy, consistency, and performance across all data engineering solutions.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 1-2 years in a lead role.
