A client in the Bowling Green, KY area is hiring 3 staff accountants to join their team. The role requires working in-office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with occasional extended work hours during month-end close. It's imperative that this person has in-depth excel experience and understanding, as you'll be spending about 90% of your time following formulas, pivot tables and manipulating date through an entire excel workbook. As a staff accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, account analysis and reconciliation, closing books monthly, and assisting with various account reconciliations at month-end. You will also be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial information to provide accurate and useful information to management for review and decision-making. Additionally, you will work with business segment leaders to analyze operating results and report on KPIs. Finally, you will review monthly financial statements and research and explain variances from both budget and prior year amounts

* 2+ years' experience in an accounting role

* Oracle or large ERP experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience

* Proficient experience in Excel

* Multi-tasking, deadline driven attitude
